On these two tour dates I spent time working with the lighting team and lighting designer helping with their touring dates.

I helped the team with installing the LX truss and rigging fixtures. Along with this I helped set up and make sure the racks for lighting were working correctly, this included running motor cables, scenic cables and the cabling for the truss and floor lighting.

I also helped set up the side lighting and haze machines that all needed to be cabled and run back to the racks.

I got a really interesting insight into how touring shows are run in terms of the desk, figuring out how their timecode system works and how they make sure that everything is repeatable venue to venue.

In Bath I sat with the lighting tech during the sound check for Paloma Faith, they used a MA console which is a desk I wasn't 100% familiar with, yet during the sound check I watched how they update focus pallets, update lighting for each song as well as seeing how they make sure that everything is in sync.

At Bristol Becon for the second half of their show on the 15th of April I worked with the team and was given the opportunity to run the follow spot for a few of her songs, this was a learning curve yet I quickly got the hang of it.
