The Marriage of Figaro was one of Bath Operas touring shows where the company went to 6 different venues. For this show my role was as the Assistant Stage Manager.
During the production I was helping to set up Props, transport props to and from venues and then performing the scene changes where the furniture had to be re-arranged.
In one of the shows I also helped the lighting technician to set up the lights and the de-rig them at the end of the show. This was a more interesting rigging situation as the venue was a national trust property to there were no existing LX bars or any infrastructure to set up the show with. WE used wireless dmx transmitters and receivers in order to operate the lights without having the mess of cables throughout the venue
